David Owen is an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM. Joining IBM in 1991, he has worked in the guts of the operating system in Journal and Database. He is also the technical consult for Guardium on i and has assisted several customers with installation and proof of concept activities. Dave has contributed to projects such as Remote Journal, Ragged Save While Active, multiple Journal and Database performance enhancements, and most recently DB2 Mirror. He is also the creator of Journal caching. He has spoken at Common in the past and has several patents and a few technical articles to his credit.
